James Webb Space Telescope has picked up something deeply unsettling. Astronomers now report that 3I/ATLAS—an interstellar visitor hurtling through the cosmos is showing signs of moving on a direct path toward Earth.
Unlike typical comets or asteroids, 3I/ATLAS has behaved strangely since its first detection. Its speed, trajectory, and unusual glow have baffled scientists, drawing comparisons to ‘Oumuamua, the mysterious interstellar object that raced through our solar system in 2017.
